Top Q&A Questions and Resources

  • How does Meetup Pro collect the money for event fees?
    • Marie-Lou: The way that event fees work with Meetup Pro is the same as the core platform: the fees are collected at the group level. If you are choosing to use the ownership model, where your one account is the organizer of every group with the same information for all your groups, the money would all come into that one account. So it works very similarly to the core platform.
  • Is there a way to mass-message members with Meetup Pro?
    • Marie-Lou: Yes, there are multiple ways that you can reach your members with Pro. You can send a message via Meetup, so you can mass-message your members just like you do with the “contact members” tool on the group level, but you can do so across all the groups from the Pro dashboard. Additionally, we collect the email addresses of your members that attend your events. That means you’ll be able to email them directly. We see that some customers have a better response rate when emailing directly from their own email versus going through the regular Meetup messaging tool.
