Kenucky River Paddle, Pools 8

This is from the John Nickell Ramp (free) up the Ky River, from the Jessamine Co side, right at the ramp (downstream), down to Sugar Creek and up it maybe 3/8ths of a mile, them back to the ramp for a total of 7 miles. You can also put in and join us from the Madison/Garrard Co. side at what I know as the Paint Lick Creek Ramp, but there is another name peole call it that I cannot recall.

This is as stated, just a meetup group, so no leaders, no sweep, so we are all on our own. Find a person with a similar length kayak and try to hook up. We say no leaders because this is just a meetup of like minded people that attend on their own. This policy is totally due to liability issues. We make no money, nor have any liablity insurance policy en force for this event.

Our sponsor, Canoe Kentucky offers classes if anyone wants to get some basic instruction. Otherwise, most event attendees will be glad to offer opions, tips, guidance, etc, but without it considered to be instruction by qualified personel.

As usual, we leave from the ramp at the stated time. 9:00 AM. You need to arrive in time to unload your boats, gear, etc. and make your way to the ramp before 9.
