Hey, let's talk about offshore cruising!! Where do you want to go? Where have you been? ..................
We are a group of people interested in offshore cruising. Some of us have been to faraway places, some dream of going, and some are preparing to leave on new adventures. We share our stories and dreams and help each other learn the skills and techniques we will need to go offshore and return safely.
We have active groups on Vancouver Island (Victoria and Nanaimo), in Vancouver, and Calgary, which host monthly club meetings and periodic on-water Rendezvous, as well as courses and training events related to cruising outside of sheltered waters. Our online magazine, Currents (http://currents.bluewatercruising.org/) is a super source for interesting articles and useful information. You can subscribe for free!
We always have a small group of members - our 'Fleet' - who are actively preparing themselves and their boats to go offshore, and we provide special training and opportunities for them.

Our Meet-ups are in addition to our monthly club meetings and are intended as informal opportunities that members will set up in different areas.
