Personal Journeys
Gregg Mosson
Author, Poet

As we get older, our experiences tell us more than we can plan in advance, and stories of experience replace stories of prediction. In this poetry reading and talk on April 5, 2026, G.H. Mosson will read excerpts from his new book of poems, Singing the Forge (Wasteland Press 2025), on the theme of personal journeys, including the author’s, of course, in the poem, “First Steps,” to jellyfish in “Tidal Song,” to myriad men and women in the book’s middle section of poetry. In addition, a few poems from former U.S. Poet Laureate Robert Pinsky and German romantic poet, Goethe, will chime in on this theme of journeying. In the Q & A, I hope to explore this theme through discussion with you.

Bio: G.H. Mosson is the author of three books and three chapbooks of poetry, including Singing the Forge (Wasteland Press 2025), Family Snapshot as a Poem in Time (Finishing Line Press, 2019), and Questions of Fire (Plain View Press, 2009). His poetry has appeared widely, including in The Potomac Review, Loch Raven Review, Tampa Review, California Quarterly, and been nominated four times for the Pushcart Prize. He lives in Maryland, where he works as a lawyer, enjoys raising his kids, day hikes, and of course, literary endeavors. For more, seek www.ghmosson.com.
