Remembrance Day
Karen Elliott
In our traditional Remembrance Day celebration together, we take time to think and share about those who are no longer with us but whose lives made a difference in ours. You may choose to remember someone you knew personally or someone whose words, art, or other work made a difference in your life. Many are also feeling the loss of institutions that have closed in recent years or beliefs that have been shown to be more aspirational or optimistic rather than reality based. Sharing our losses may not make them less painful, but the caring support of our community can remind us that we are not alone in dealing with loss.
