Welcome to Basel - Board Game Sessions

Welcome to Basel:

We meet every first and third Sunday of the month at the local watering hole for game culture, the ManaBar! (English will be our primary spoken language).

Are you new to our wonderful city and looking forward to meeting other local game enthusiasts? Are you a local, wanting to meet people from all around the world? We are a group of local people who want to bring people together through the magic of games. Our aim is to unite people and their game cultures and to be formidable hosts to all the wonderful people who call Basel their home. We are focused on board games, but you will find, that the venue we play in offers a great deal of other options as well.

First meeting will be on December 1st 2019, at 15:00 (3 PM).

1. You will arrive at the venue:
   ManaBar
   Güterstrasse 99
   4053 Basel

Make sure you sign in on the list we provided for you.

2. The venue charges CHF 5.- per person and people will be randomly matched, but people arriving in groups will not be split.
3. We will provide a couple of people, who will explain new board games, to avoid lengthy reading sessions. Depending on demand, we might be short staffed, but we know that people have all the competences to help themselves get going with a round of games they might already know.
4. Drinks and food are provided by the venue (please do not bring your own).
5. Once we're all sitting at the table we can meet wishes for games of course. If somebody brings their own game and would like to explain, that is also super. We provide the frame and lots, you bring yourselves and the fun! :)

Be sure to follow the current safety precautions according to the BAG for restaurants and bars for the duration of the pandemic. At this time there are no recommended safety precautions in place.
