Yes, this is a special day and time for a game zoom. If you are a regular with AABM, you probably know why we have an event today. The game we are playing is Linkee. At the bottom of the post is an explanation of the game. The question master reads four questions that you hopefully know the answer answer. Don't cal that answer out. You are trying to figure out the connection to all four answers. When you think you know that, shout LINKEE and give us the connection. If you are right, you will win the question card which has a letter on the back. When you or your team is able to spell "LINKEE", you win the game. Depending on the number of players, we can play as individuals or as teams. I hope you are able to join us on this day. http://northamerica.playlinkee.com/
This is our annual trip to visit the corn maze at Montpelier Farms. Montpelier Farms is strongly encouraging that visitors purchase tickets in advance since the number of admissions allowed will be lower than in the past. The admission prize for the day is still $12 for visitors over 2. With your admission fee, there are several additional events you can participate in also. The link at the bottom of this post will give you more details about purchasing tickets, events, etc. If you need to list a start time for your ticket, you should indicate 1:00 PM. Make sure you have your mask. Hope you can join us. This may be our last in-person event of the calendar year since November and December may be too cold to be outside comfortably and meeting in-person inside may not always be practical. If we are able to meet safely and comfortably in November and/or December, we will let you know. http://www.montpelierfarms.com/5301.html
We will be playing Skribbl.io again. It's a drawing game like Pictionary, that is played on it's own website in your browser. You need something other than a cell phone to play Skribbl.io (a tablet, laptop, or desktop). You can run Zoom on the same device, or on a cell phone. We will use Zoom to talk to each other while playing. Once we are in the Zoom meeting, Tami will give us the link to our private room on Skribbl.io. You don't have to be a good artist to play this game. In fact, it's often funnier if you're not. Please join us!
Due to health concerns, many Extra Life 2020 events will be online this year. The zoom link with this post covers from 9:00 AM until Midnight on November 07, 2020. As we get closer to the day, I will post a second zoom link to cover from Midnight until 9:00 AM on November 08, 2020. Extra Life is a fundraising event for the Children's Miracle Network. The team on which I am participating is raising funds for Johns Hopkins Children's Center. I am playing as part of the Party Gamecast/Break My Game Team. Below you can find a link to my fundraising page if you would like to donate. If you would like more information about Extra Life or would like to join our team, you can contact me directly. https://www.extra-life.org/index.cfm?fuseaction=donordrive.participant&participantID=423305&fbclid=IwAR2mRrWfsikfpyIDymaXdhYJhDBc-OeCRO Plans are still being developed for what events will be part of the day. For my part, I am planning to run a 24-hour zoom where we can play some of our favorite games, with a new game every 60-90 minutes and perhaps add on some games we haven't done before on a zoom. You are free to join for as few or as many games as you'd like. If there are specific games you would like to have on the roster. I hope to see you there.
