The Wargames Meetup will now be a regular event. Games played that evening will all be wargames. And we'll be getting a whole slew of quality wargames on the table this meetup. Please do join us if you have any interest in wargames.

I still remember my first wargame which I bought from Leisure Craft when Mr and Mrs Wong was around. They had a store at Orchard Point Basement then. I had the pleasure of working with them just before my NS days. (LC has evolved to become what is PI now)

I saved up my pocket money and bought Arab Israeli Wars (AH) about 20 years ago. It was my first wargame. My best friend bought PanzerBlitz. So it was a similar system, but of a different 'era', in which we fight in. I was elated.

After plenty of battles and almost worn out the counters, we headed back to LC and got more wargames. Squad Leader was a natural followup amongst Vietnam, Russian Campaign and D-day. (As the years go by.)

As the first wargames meetup for this new year, a remembrance of Mr/Mrs Wong which had started my gaming years. My best regards to them (they have migrated to Canada more than 10 years ago). They have not realized that they have left behind a 'seed' of core group of wargamers.....

No restrictions : Please feel free to play any other forms of wargames.

Please note : As this is a unique themed session, there are no game Library available besides those that are brought along by gamers themselves. THIS IS A WARGAME SESSION, all gamers, please take note.

Just as a quick reminder: Participation in this meetup is absolutely free and even softdrinks are provided free-of-charge by Mind Cafe (but please RSVP to reserve your place).
