Meditation for Peace is a free community gathering dedicated to peace, compassion, loving-kindness, safety, joy, and support for all beings.

Although this gathering will be led by Venerable SooSeong, a Zen Buddhist monk and meditation teacher, the event itself is secular, non-denominational, and fully inclusive.

People of all faiths, backgrounds, ethnicities, ages, and walks of life are warmly welcome.

The intention is simple: to gather in shared silence, meditation, reflection, and goodwill. Together, we will generate collective energy and dedicate it to peace in our world, joy in our communities, safety for all beings, compassion for others, and support for those in need.

This event is hosted by Bodhicitta Sangha, a local Buddhist meditation nonprofit rooted in Dharma practice, mindfulness, community, and compassionate service.

Participants are invited to bring their own yoga mat, meditation cushion, or blanket. Chairs will be available for those who prefer or need seated support.

Tentative program:

  • Participant arrival
  • Gentle movement or yoga salutations
  • Mindfulness meditation
  • Loving-kindness meditation
  • Brief closing reflection and dedication of merit

No prior meditation experience is needed. Come as you are.
