This class focuses on sketching and completing more finished studies outside of the studio. Your instructor, Jessica, will walk you through how to quickly and efficiently capture images out in the wild including non-moving objects, live animals, landscapes, and people.

This ongoing workshop will include tips and tricks for understanding images, capturing moving figures, or creating an overall vibe. Each class will happen at a different location OUTSIDE of the Catalyst studio, including the zoo, parks, or even some bars/cafes.

KNOW BEFORE YOU GO:
- Due to the fact that we will be in public spaces, students cannot bring oil or acrylic paints, non-contained inks (inks that are not in a marker format or have a chance of leaking), or any other mediums that might be considered messy or permanent
- For students who want to bring watercolors please bring a small compact pallet
- Admission to pay to enter locations is not included in the class price, and when the class is visiting a business like a bar please be prepared to purchase something for the location such as a drink

Please bring the following with you:
- Your medium of choice (barring messy or permanent mediums: oil & acrylic paints, non-contained inks)
- Cash or card for locations with admission
- For outside locations: sunglasses, hats, sunscreen, and water are highly encouraged

Prerequisites:
Students are required to have a basic knowledge of drawing and working in their preferred medium.

Upcoming topics:
8/30: Inanimate object/still lives
9/27: Interiors (no people)
11/22: Live animals
12/20: Exterior landscapes
