Beginner Techniques in Ink

Build confidence with ink as you utilize new tools, techniques, and styles each session. Age 14+

If you love ink but get nervous about making permanent marks, this class is for you.
Each session, you'll create a finished ink drawing while learning a new tool (like micron pens, nib pens, markers, and brushes) or technique alongside methods like hatching, crosshatching, ink washes, line weight, and clean line work. The focus isn’t perfection, but practice: you’ll learn how to use fewer lines more confidently, build form, and create clear focal points in your work.

This ongoing class is a great place to get more comfortable with ink, experiment without pressure, and grow your drawing skills. You'll walk away with new tools under your belt, plus an ink piece from every session, and maybe even start to love that “scary” permanence of ink.
