Texture & Detail Drawing

Explore texture, shadow, and imagination in this quirky drawing class for all skill levels! Age 11+

Ongoing, individual sessions: biweekly Sundays, 3:00pm - 5:00pm & biweekly Thursdays, 6:00pm - 8:00pm. $40.

Join us and learn to create eye catching details, realistic textures, observe how shadows behave (and misbehave), and explore how light and texture work together to bring your work to life. Each session is led by self taught artist, Brandy Luv, and dives into the real art of seeing; not just what is in front of you, but where your imagination can take it. You'll be building your eye and using your imagination to create the kinds of details that make drawings pop, or creep.

Each class we will discuss the fundamentals of drawing, like pencil/pen strokes, lead values and hand pressure while working on creating a new texture(s), mastering details or understanding shadows and light.

Get ready to stretch that imagination and create a unique piece you can take home with you, or build skills to add to your artwork later.

Please bring the following with you:
- Pencil set ranging in value from 2H - 8B
- Smooth drawing paper/sketchbook
- Blending sticks
- Kneadable and regular erasers
- Your imagination
*We will sometimes work with ink, Micron Ink pens will be provided.

About your Instructor:
Brandy is a self taught artist, specializing in graphite/pencil and ink mediums. Her art is intense, highly detailed and called "creepy but cute". Brandy's teaching style will encourage you to use your imagination to see beyond what is right in front of you and then draw that!
