Language Exchange + Picnic in the Park (ALL languages, even English, welcome!)
Details
Hola a todos/salut tout le monde/hallo allerseits/مرحبا جميعا.
It's that time of the year again... our annual language picnic!
How will the event work?
This event will be a little less formal than our usual weekly language exchange events.
Instead of breaking up into specific language tables as we normally do, everyone will have a nametag with the language(s) they can or would like to speak. (Even if it's just English!)
From there, you're free to mingle and chat with whoever has languages that match yours.
So for this particular event, ALL languages are welcome. Friends, partners, and family - no matter what they speak - are welcome, too!
What should I bring?
As we've done it past years, this will be a bit of a potluck/picnic.
I'll bring some snacks + paper plates/cups/cutlery. And you're welcome to bring anything that comes to mind. Snacks, drinks, sweets, etc...
But if you don't get the chance to prepare or bring something, please know you're more than welcome to join us anyway :-)
Where exactly will we be meeting?
We'll be meeting at Julia Davis Park! If possible, I'm going to try to grab us the Agricultural Pavilion (it's the big shelter just outside the zoo). I've included its exact location on the map and you can also see a picture of it in the main event photo.
If that's not possible, come find us at the "Gene Harris Bandshell" (see map below) right next door.
~~~
Let me know if you have any questions. Otherwise, looking forward to seeing everyone. We had a great turnout last year, so I expect this to be another fun event!
~Nikki
