Dedicated: The Case for Commitment in the Age of Infinite Browsing by Pete Davis

Details

Greetings,

I hope this finds the new year treating you well. After much thought, I’ve decided not to throw my baby out with the bath water. As much as I dislike the steep increase in meetup organizer fees, I just don’t have the heart to delete this book club or Paddle Peddle Powder. I’ve met so many cool people and had such good times that I feel the need to keep both groups active, even though I will be relocating.

Until I repost The Great Secret, I want to advertise Megan’s last book club meetup here. Sorry for the late notice but I just found out about it. If you’re available, please RSVP for the book Dedicated: The Case for Commitment in an Age of Infinite Browsing by Pete Davis. Information from Megan’s meetup is below. I look forward to seeing everyone in person who can attend.

Kind regards,
Kathy 🤓

“THE BOOK: Dedicated by Pete Davis (Published 2021)
I know there’s not much time to read this book but it doesn’t matter. The concepts in it are pretty straightforward. It is about service and connection within your community. Here is a brief intro to Pete Davis and his book. [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5_72XUf1VRY](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5_72XUf1VRY)
I was delighted to see Robert Putnam join the Daily Show lately. He is very much part of this genre. Lastly, here is an interesting article regarding design thinking vs. a community-powered approach [https://www.fastcompany.com/91262174/what-comes-after-design-thinking](https://www.fastcompany.com/91262174/what-comes-after-design-thinking)”
