Japanese and English Beginners* Language Exchange

Are you learning to speak or read either English or Japanese?

Would you like to practice speaking or reading in either English or Japanese in front of other beginners, and having a conversation with them?

Then join us for this online session!

You can either prepare short questions in the language you would like to practice, for example what you would like to know about others, or share something that is interesting about yourself, your city or your culture, or share something that you have have read or watched....or do all that!

Please note: The meetup will have some very young participants:
so topics (books/movies/videos) must be rated "G"
(For general audience. No discussion of violence, s*x, or use of inappropriate language.)

This is an international online meetup. All are welcome.

Participants: Beginners who are learning to read or speak Japanese or English.
SignUp: Participants must signup here before attending.
Requirement: Turn on your video feed while participating, with your face clearly visible.
Restrictions: Discussion topics must be suitable for a general audience of all ages as some participants will be kids.

*There will be at least one person fluent in English, and at least one person fluent in Japanese at this session, so if you are not fluent in one of those languages and would like to practice one of them then you will be able to do so. Please remember to keep the topics to a rating "G".

If you are already fluent in English, we invite you to join our regular bookclub which is held at 8pm (Singapore time) once a month.

Our Usual Monthly Meetup Continues!

Come share the books you read recently, or the movies that you saw.

The books can be fiction or nonfiction, and "movies" includes documentaries, Netflix Series, and other interesting videos.

This is an international online meetup. All are welcome!

However you must signup here beforehand and also turn on your video feed while participating in this event with your face clearly visible.

The meeting will last approximately 1.5 hrs but might extend longer if there are more people and for those who are interested.

Format:
We will proceed in several rounds. In every round each participant will have the opportunity to present a short summary and opinion of ONE book or movie, within about 3 minutes.

After or during your concise presentation others may ask you questions
for you to elaborate, or there might ensue a discussion.
If you have more than one book or movie to present you can do so in the second or third round.
In this way each person will have an opportunity to share their books and thoughts within the limited time of the session. Thank You.
