What we’re about

The Born Global Meetup Leipzig is a semi-formal networking community where international students, graduates, researchers and all the international community in Leipzig gather to discuss their business ideas and any topic related to launching a business or becoming a freelancer in Germany.

This casual setting fosters exchange, encourages collaboration, and provides a platform for aspiring entrepreneurs to receive feedback, solve doubts, and gain insights.

These events are organised by the start-up initiative SMILE at Leipzig University and co-financed by the European Union and the Free State of Saxony.

Note:
Germans are also welcome to participate at these events.

Our workshops are part of the Born Global meeting series in Leipzig and it’s free of charge to participate.

If you would like to join our community and offer a workshop to share your knowledge, test your product or service, please write an email to: mabarry@uni-leipzig.de

Overcoming Solopreneurship Self-Doubt 🤔

Overcoming Solopreneurship Self-Doubt 🤔

SEPT Competence Center - Leipzig University, Ritterstraße 9-13 (Second floor), 04109 Leipzig, DE

About the Event
Starting your own business, going freelance, or building something on your own can be exciting, but it can also feel lonely, overwhelming, and full of self-doubt .

At this Born Global Meetup Leipzig edition, we invite you to a unique, interactive workshop led by Angelica Sivieri, designed to help solopreneurs, founders, and freelancers recognize, understand, and reframe self-doubt when it becomes a blocker.

This session is especially relevant for people navigating international, intercultural, or migration-related experiences, where self-doubt can be amplified by unfamiliar systems, expectations, or identities.

What You’ll Experience
This is not a lecture; it’s a participatory and reflective space. The workshop includes:

  • Guided moments of group sharing to discover common ground
  • Individual reflection time to identify your own doubts and fears
  • A worksheet to capture insights and practical takeaways
  • A creative and engaging element: Tarot cards as a tool for self-reflection and problem-solving

💭 Tarot is used here as a visual and storytelling method, not for prediction. It helps surface thoughts, spark intuition, and unlock new perspectives in a safe, playful way.

What You’ll Take Away
By the end of the session, you will:

  • Feel less alone in your solopreneurship journey
  • Better understand the thought patterns behind your self-doubt
  • Learn how to stop listening to self-doubt when it blocks you
  • Leave with one clear, easy next step you can take immediately

Who Is This Meetup For?
This event is for you if you:

  • Are a founder, co-founder, freelancer, or aspiring solopreneur
  • Are thinking about starting your own project or business
  • Work independently and sometimes struggle with confidence or clarity
  • Have an international or migration background and want a supportive space
  • Enjoy reflective, creative, and interactive formats

No prior experience with Tarot or entrepreneurship is needed.
