Hello!
I'm excited to finally schedule the first event for this group. When I created this group, I envisioned it would be about creating opportunities to do the things we plan to do more in the summer when everything is supposedly easier because it's warm and nice to go out and do things.
I thought of many different ideas to find the perfect plan for the first meetup, but I was having trouble choosing. Now the weather is getting nice and its time to pick something.
I just started a new job, and I was thinking "I'll wait until after training is over so I really know my schedule and can pick the perfect date". Then I realized after training there will be the store opening, then the next holiday, and pretty soon summer would be over.
I plan to do a lot of fun summer activities like going to the beach, and going to the other beach, but let's be honest, summer activities are hard work! After working all week do we always have the energy to go out and do things on the weekend?
So to make sure I have that extra energy to properly enjoy the summer, I'm going to start by scheduling a couple things that brings me that energy, and that is yoga classes at CorePower Yoga and lunch at Tatte Cafe and Bakery.
I love yoga. Specifically I love doing yoga at CorePower Yoga. I don't work for them, and I never have, but they are my favorite yoga studios. The manager at CorePower Yoga in Medford, Lulu, is an incredible teacher and such a wonderful person. I love to recommend CorePower Yoga classes to people interested in doing more yoga. They have the best teachers and the best facilities in my experience. That's why I'm scheduling this meetup as a Yoga and Brunch meetup at the CorePower Yoga in Medford for a C2 beginner/intermediate level class on Friday May 3rd at 10:00 AM. This class is usually taught by Juanita, a fantastic yoga teacher whose classes I have taken multiple times. This is a hot yoga class, so it is not for everyone, but it's not too hot, and you are encouraged to engage at your level and beginners are welcome.
The other thing is the food at Tatte Cafe and Bakery. So I'm picking that as the Brunch/Lunch option. I absolutely encourage everyone to come to the lunch at Tatte even if yoga is not your thing and you skip the class. This is on purpose to make this Meet and Greet open to as many people as possible! I'll have a sign at the table that says BSE for Best Summer Ever.

Personal time. There are showers at the yoga studio, or some might drive home and shower, this time is for whatever you need after yoga.
