Wellesley All-Terrain Bike Ramble

Details
Spring is now well and truly here and the biking season is in full swing. Join me for a all-terrain bike ramble through the Town of Wellesley.
Yes, I did say Wellesley. One of the hidden jewels of off road biking in Eastern Massachusetts. This ride will be between fifteen and 20 miles long, depending on how many side trails we decide to go down. There are several points where we could choose to make the ride shorter or longer.
This Wellesley Ramble is one I've done a number of times with family and friends, and it has always gotten rave reviews. We ride a combination of roads and sidewalks, the Fuller Brook bike path, both the Cochituate Aqueduct and the Sudbury Aqueduct, and a bunch of single track trails through the town forrest. We also visit the iconic Wellesley Clock Tower, enjoy the view from atop the Waban Arches, and have fun hearing our voices echo back to us from underneath the arches themselves.
This ride would be best ridden on a mountain bike or hybrid bike. A skilled rider can certainly do this on a road bike, although with the ground still somewhat soft from the spring rains, that might not be the best option. Also, there are a couple tricky singletrack sections, although they are not so long that you couldn't just walk them.
Bring food, water and coffee, as we will be eating lunch on the trail. Also bring a spare inner tube, just in case.
*** This is NOT a beginner ride ***
You must be a good rider and be comfortable on your bike while riding on city streets and sidewalks, and on rough, rocky, rooty and muddy trails. If you do any of the other MeetUp rail trail rides, you should have no problem on this one.
It is hard to convey in words just how nice this ride is, so I encourage you to come out an see for yourself.
