Let's go watch a snowboarding competition at Boston city hall plaza!

Hi ladies! Saturday's looking sunny and not too cold, so let's go watch a snowboarding competition right here at Boston City Hall Plaza! The "Red Bull Heavy Metal" Snowboarding Competition brings together top snowboarders from across the country to compete in street snowboarding (think skateboarding tricks but on a snowboard on the snow). The competition is free to watch and more information can be found here. You can also look up cool YouTube videos of their past competition (e.g. in Minneapolis MN).

We will meet at 1pm at the Boston Public Market (100 Hanover St, Boston, MA 02108) to get something to drink or eat, and chat and catch up. Then at 1:45pm we will walk to nearby City Hall Plaza to line up for the event (gates open at 2pm, competition starts at 2:30pm). Hopefully we'll get a good view of the snowboarders. We'll watch until 3:30pm. (Though the event goes on until 5:30pm so you're free to stay later and keep watching.)

Boston Public Market is next to Haymarket Station on the green/orange lines, though it's walkable from most downtown T stations (11 min walk from Park St on the red/green lines and 5 minute walk from State St on the blue/orange lines).
