Calling all ladies who want to talk to other ladies about ladies in fantasy! Let's face it, men kind of dominate the scifi/fantasy scene - meetups are often male-oriented, and most of the most highly recommended books have male protagonists. I started this group to give us an opportunity to meet up with other women who love fantasy novels and female protagonists. Every month, we'll pick a new book and meet up to chat about it!
$5 annual dues (after a 90 day trial period) help cover the Meetup fees for running this group - any additional money will turn into tasty treats for meetings :D
Our bookclub is LGBTQ friendly, and participation is open to anyone who identifies as a woman, including those who were assigned male at birth. Nonbinary and gender-nonconforming individuals are welcome to join as well.
