Hello - WELCOME TO THE GROUP!! The intent and goal of this meetup is to nurture musical ability and talent and gain more theoretical and practical experience, play out , and for musician networking... We go to open mics and have shows periodically with other meetup groups and on some Sundays a jam/rehearsal to jam or rehearse for performances. Music is a powerful force for good in the world.

This group is for musicians and aspiring musicians who are looking to play with others and have fun ........developing skills for playing with a vocalist or band. We can help develop guitar, bass, keys etc. techniques (reading a lead sheet, building a solo, hooking into the groove, jam, improvise, learn & CREATE songs, and learn and the dynamics of playing with a group).
We will also go out together and listen to live music around around Boston, and play at open mics.
Join us if you want to have a great time playing music with some great folks! We focus on Rock, Folk, Blues and Popular music. We will take the first hour of the meetups if requested to focus on theory, practice, technique, instrumentation , arranging and other musicianship essentials.
This is a no pressure group. The group will concentrate on material appropriate for beginners and intermediates to the experience of playing with others and playing with a band. We will all commit to being patient, non-judgmental, and supportive. As we develop, we can go together and perform at open mics.
