To participate in this activity, you should have a positive attitude, have hiked a complex moderate hike before, and understand that distance does not correlate with challenge. You should also be reasonably fit.
You must inform the organiser if you have any medical conditions that could present a concern during the hike. These conditions might include allergies, asthma, diabetes, or a heart condition, but they are not limited to those conditions. Please remember that this trip is planned and staffed entirely by volunteers relying on your non-monetary contributions. Let's stick together and hike together. You are responsible for bringing your trail food. Bring food for the trail that you can nibble on during the day. Raisins, peanuts, bits of candy, dried fruit, cookies, and hard candy are good choices. Fruit & grain bars are also good stuff. Do not plan to eat any animals we may see on the trail or drink directly from streams. Carry at least two litres of potable water.
A waterproof jacket is necessary. Rain pants are helpful, too, but not as essential. A fleece jacket might be needed if it gets cool later in the day. Non-cotton clothing is highly recommended.
I am not the host; I am posting this hike on behalf of Prashant so more people see it. If you have any questions, you can ask them on the Ridj-it wall in the link previously mentioned.

Clothing is important. I usually wear it. By far, the most important article of clothing you will use is not clothing. It is your boots. Your boots should be comfortable and not brand new. Be sure that you have worn the boots for at least eight hours. This does not mean eight hours in the office before you drive up for the hike. Please walk around in them for eight hours. Wear them on other trips.
