Hike Mt. Garfield — 9.6 Miles

Details

Let's hike Garfield. Here's the planned trail we'll take:
https://www.alltrails.com/trail/us/new-hampshire/mount-garfield-trail

Distance: 9.6 miles
Gain: 3,000 feet

This is NOT for beginners! The distance is not indicative of the challenge. Prashant is sparking this trip, and I'm just pasting it here so more people see it's happening. Sign up on the Ridj-it link below to join.

Sign-up Instructions:
You must sign up for this trip here: https://p.ridj-it.com/app/trip-detail?id=110880. You will need a Ridj-it login to join. An RSVP on Meetup is not a real RSVP.

Trip description continued:
If you haven't planned your day pack, please remember that it's still early season and it's windy up there. Please pack properly: https://www.rei.com/learn/expert-advice/day-hiking-checklist.html#Day_Hikes_2_Plus_Hours

Be sure to pack enough food and water for the hike. I'll ask at the trailhead as to what you've packed. Please, no jeans or sneakers - it's rocky at the top, so do come prepared with cold-weather gear.

For those who are carpooling, please ensure that your profile is up to date and your phone # on the website is correct. Please arrive on time at the meeting point.

We're going to meet at the trailhead - where there's restrooms.
For the non-carpoolers, please be at the trailhead around 9am. We'll take a quick break, gear-check, water station fill-up and get going.

Depending on how people are feeling, we'll stop for food and drink on the way back.
