After-work kayak series: Cambridge Kendall 🛶🌇 (rentals available)

Charles River Canoe and Kayak offers kayak rentals for 1.5 hrs for $32

Their Kendall Square location is in a portion of the river that is mostly devoid of current with stunning views and convenient location, perfect for a relaxing paddling session.

We will kayak at a leisurely pace every other Monday evening to make the worst day of the week just a little bit better :D

The rental includes the kayak, life vest and paddle, so all you need to bring is yourself.
If you are worried about your belongings getting wet, you can rent a dry bag for an additional $5.

Before renting any boat, you need to watch a safety video and agree to a waiver. To save time at check-in, you can complete the waiver online.

Depending on the mood, we can go for dinner or a drink afterwards.

Some notes:

• You will possibly get wet, so plan accordingly. Bringing sandals/slippers and a change of clothes is a good idea.
• Even though this portion of the river has virtually no current, sometimes the wind can pick up. Be prepared to face small waves.
• Sailboat traffic is not uncommon on this section of the river.
• Rentals are first come first serve and according to the staff there may be a small wait sometimes.
• Due to the nature of this event, punctuality is critical. Once we are in the water, there is little chance that we can wait for long. If you repeatedly arrive late or fail to show up, you might be kicked out of the group.
• Lastly, remember that we are all adults and you're responsible for your own safety.
