Thelema is the philosophical and religious system started by Aleister Crowley in 1904 with the publication of Liber AL vel Legis, also known as The Book of the Law. Thelema focuses on individual liberty and practices such as ritual magick, mediation, and yoga to get more in touch with your true self.
This group is to discuss the concepts in Thelema and the work of Crowley and other relevant authors, and how they relate to the modern world. We aim to meet bi-monthly for discussion groups around the Boston area. Everyone is welcome, whether you've been a Thelemite for years or are just hearing about it for the first time and curious what all this stuff means.
Anyone interested in other New Age spiritual practices like Wicca, Shamanism, Hermetic Qabalah, or Satanism may find something interesting here.
