What we're about

Boston Dads Group is a diverse community of fathers in the Massachusetts and Rhode Island areas, who take an active role in our children’s lives. We seek to create an online meetup group to bring fathers together in person. We'll meet several times per week, with our kids, at parks, playgrounds, museums, parent-and-me classes, and living rooms across the greater Boston Metro and Providence, Rhode Island areas. We'll also organize parenting workshops and Dads Nights Out to give our members an opportunity to socialize, learn, and support each other as we navigate parenthood.

There are not enough resources, social groups, or services for dads. This is a destination for all active dads. A diverse group with dads of all stripes: stay-at-home dads, dads with flexible schedules, work from home dads, freelancers, working dads, teachers, and involved fathers in and around the Boston Metro and Providence, RI areas to socialize and interact with other guys who enjoy spending quality time with their children.

** Please note this group is strictly for Dads, we understand sometimes wives will try to join for their significant others but we encourage them to join on their own accord. We want this group to be a comfortable place for Dads to learn and talk about anything dad related.

Home Safari Tour (Daily at 3pm ET)

your home

Fun activity you can do with your kids from the comfort of home! While the zoo is closed and kids are home from school, tune in at 3pm *each weekday* to meet one of the zoo animals. The zoo even suggests a related activity you can do from home. These are posted on their Facebook page live, but the recordings are saved on their website. So you don't need Facebook to enjoy this with your kids. Learn more at http://cincinnatizoo.org/home-safari-resources. Know of other fun distance learning activities? Mention them in the comments and they'll get added to the calendar.

Art Museums - Virtual Field Trips

your home

Virtual field trips are a great way to expose kids to new places all from the comfort of home. In this age of technology, so many museums, zoos, and aquariums have set up virtual tours and webcams of their facilities. Now more than ever it is easier to visit destinations around the world from the comfort of your couch. In light of recent events, families are finding themselves in the position of not only being at home with their children for an extended period of time but educating them as well. Unlike a school vacation, places like zoos, aquariums, and museums are closed in an effort to keep people from congregating. Travel is also on hold.
