Boston Dads Group is a diverse community of fathers in the Massachusetts and Rhode Island areas, who take an active role in our children’s lives. We seek to create an online meetup group to bring fathers together in person. We'll meet several times per week, with our kids, at parks, playgrounds, museums, parent-and-me classes, and living rooms across the greater Boston Metro and Providence, Rhode Island areas. We'll also organize parenting workshops and Dads Nights Out to give our members an opportunity to socialize, learn, and support each other as we navigate parenthood.
There are not enough resources, social groups, or services for dads. This is a destination for all active dads. A diverse group with dads of all stripes: stay-at-home dads, dads with flexible schedules, work from home dads, freelancers, working dads, teachers, and involved fathers in and around the Boston Metro and Providence, RI areas to socialize and interact with other guys who enjoy spending quality time with their children.
** Please note this group is strictly for Dads, we understand sometimes wives will try to join for their significant others but we encourage them to join on their own accord. We want this group to be a comfortable place for Dads to learn and talk about anything dad related.
Need a night out after the holidays? Then please join us for a Dads Night Out at Lincoln in South Boston. Pay your own way for dinner or drinks.
Dads from all over are invited. If your kids are still awake, feel free to bring them if you are comfortable doing so. It's up to you!
Please invite other dads you know so we can continue to build community and help each other navigate parenthood.
Hey, come hang out with us at a landmark classic! We’ll grab some food, drinks, share stories and hang out. If you haven’t come to a dads meetup before, please come!
FYI if you haven’t been before, there’s plenty of parking across the street, or take the T to Alewife and it’s right there.
While the Providence Public Library is undergoing renovations, their awesome children's programs have found a temporary hope at Grace Episcopal Church downtown.
This program combines time for play and socialization with a story time that includes movement, songs, finger plays and wonderful children’s literature.
* Please Note: Please access all sessions through the CHAPEL STREET door. PPL staff will be available at the door for the first 30 minutes of each session to provide assistance. All sessions are held on the 2nd floor and strollers must be left on the ground level. These sessions are not handicapped accessible.
Diaper changes, pick-ups, drop-offs, laundry, cleaning can numb the mind...let's sharpen ours as a team and win some trivia. GPub in downtown Providence is a cool spot with good food and accessible by car or public transportation. Teams can be any number of players, but please RSVP in advance if possible so we can scout the right table.
