The Boston Indies Talk Show returns for a special weekend edition alongside Andrew Baillie, creator of the Indiepocalypse zine. Indiepocalypse is a monthly game collection that is, in Andrew's words, a "home for the unmarketable" and collects bizarre and endearing experimental indie games, providing a unique platform for game creators that pays them for their work.
If I (hi, it's Chris) can editorialize a bit, this sort of work is largely missing and underappreciated in the current games ecosystem which, like everything in our society, emphasizes profitability above all else, and Andrew is doing critically important work in both promoting and supporting radical game ideas. Anyway, please join us for what's sure to be a fun chat.
This BIT SHO will have a slightly different format: we'll run a 30 minute 'standard' show interviewing Andrew, then segue into another hour of less-structured conversation as part of his Indiepocalypse Radio program, which runs every Saturday from 2 to 4pm.
