Seaside BBQ Get-Together

Join us for a relaxed beachside BBQ just steps from the water! We’re bringing a grill from home and setting up at Jones Park for a casual afternoon of food, fun, and connection.

What’s on the Menu:

• Grilled burgers and hot dogs (vegan options included)
• Classic sides like pasta salad, chips, fruit, and more
• A variety of drinks (non-alcoholic - beach rules) to keep everyone refreshed. (You can drink at Jackie's house on the porch though if you feel so inclined 😅)
• You're welcome to bring something to share, but it’s not required- especially if you're traveling from far away. Please let us handle it! 💛

Activities & Amenities:

• Swimming, kayaking, and canoeing (we’ll have both available to borrow and life jackets)
• Picnic tables and plenty of natural shade
• Clean public restrooms nearby
• Our home is just down the street if anyone needs anything extra
• Fireworks are typically visible across the cove later in the evening should folks want to disperse and see shows later in the day.

This location is close to the beach and walking distance to our setup.

Taking the train?
The nearest commuter rail stop is the New Bedford T station, located at:
536 Acushnet Ave, New Bedford, MA 02740

If you're arriving by train, message Jackie on Slack or Meetup and we’ll coordinate a ride to the park.

Bring:

• a beach towel
• sunblock
• a beach chair if you’d like
• whatever else makes you comfortable for a day outdoors.

Whether you’re in it for the food, the water, or just the company, we’d love to see you there to have some good food, fun, and chats around games!
