About us

Bostonians are known to lead hectic professional and personal lives. The busier one is, the more one has to meditate. Meditation helps one dive inward to the source of joy, energy and creativity, and come out into activity with that stillness. It is a daily practice to center oneself and allows one to stay in the game at their best. Increasingly, corporations and other institutions are offering mediation workshops. CEOs and executives at top companies, including Google, Salesforce and Tupperware, state in recent magazine articles that meditation restores balance in their lives, improves sleep and provides them with a competitive edge.
Founded in 1981, the Art of Living Foundation is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) educational and humanitarian organization working in consultative status with the United Nations’ Economic and Social Council on initiatives related to health, meditation, education, sustainable development, conflict resolution and disaster relief.

Meditation and Wisdom with Gurudev Sri Sri Ravishankar

Meditation and Wisdom with Gurudev Sri Sri Ravishankar

Boston Marriott Copley Place, Boston Marriott Copley Place 110 Huntington Avenue Boston, MA 02116 United States, Boston, ma, US

No meditation experience needed.

For one evening, Sri Sri Ravi Shankar — known worldwide as Gurudev — comes to Boston to lead Meditation and share Wisdom on Power, Presence, and Peace.

He founded the Art of Living and has spent more than four decades teaching breath-based practices for calm, clarity and resilience. His work now reaches 180 countries. The breathing technique he teaches has been the subject of over 100 independent studies published in peer-reviewed journals, including research at Yale on student wellbeing and a randomized controlled trial with US military veterans published in the Journal of Traumatic Stress.

This is not a lecture.

Over two hours you'll experience live music, a guided meditation with the whole room, and an unscripted Q&A where he takes real questions — often with unexpected answers and a great deal of laughter.

You'll leave less easily shaken, more fully present, and more at ease with things as they are.

THE EVENING

  • Live music
  • A guided meditation, led in the room
  • Wisdom on stress, presence and steadiness
  • Open Q&A — bring your question

WHO IT'S FOR
Anyone carrying more than they'd like to be right now. Anyone who has been curious about meditation but never knew where to start. Anyone who simply wants to be in the room. You don't need meditation experience, a spiritual background, or any particular beliefs. Come as you are.
