APIs are more than just shoving JSON back and forth over HTTP. In this talk we’ll be taking a dive into the essence of APIs, HTTP, and paradigms.

We’re going to touch on a little bit of everything, from documentation to implementation, to testing -- both from a producer and consumer’s perspective. Our goal is to be able to walk away with a wider view of what APIs are, some tricks & tips, and to provide some concrete examples for the abstract concepts that surround.

SPEAKER BIO

Bryan Crowe is a lead developer for Rakuten living in NYC. For the majority of his career he’s been either creating, refactoring, or evolving APIs. CakePHP Core Team emeritus. Moonlight streamer. Dog dad.
