Hi, everyone!

It's time for our monthly meeting. This time, we have Michael Durrant talking about Quality UI Automation in Ruby:

Writing UI automation is fairly easy. Writing UI automation that is easy to read, easy to understand and passes reliably is hard. In this talk Michael will show how to use Custom DSLs and Page Objects (along with some nice metaprogramming) to create high quality automation suites.

We'll also have Peter Cai with "What we learned integrating with over 50 APIs":

Privy’s email marketing product talks to over 50 APIs, and makes millions of API calls a month. Designing and supporting this system has taught us a few things about how to reliably build integrations. We’ll go over some challenges and solutions, and some observations from the trenches.

If you'd like to speak at a future meeting, we'd love to get your submissions at https://www.papercall.io/bostonrb.

Schedule:

  • 6:00pm - Eat, mingle.
  • 6:20pm - Talks begin.

Thanks to ezCater (https://www.ezcater.com/) for sponsoring food and space for this Meetup!
