• What we'll do

Let's plan on eating, drinking, and making music together -- all in memory of Chief Noda. Please RSVP so we can include you in the planning.

Chifuru Noda, affectionally called Chief Noda, last coached our ukulele group on Monday Dec 17th, 2018 in his room at the Seasons Hospice in Milton, MA. We played and sang for an hour before his next guests arrived. Chief then asked us to stay and requested Ed Gerhard to play "The Water is Wide."

Chief played the bass ukulele at several of our weekly jam sessions in the Walter Baker Building. He was a multi-instrumentalist and a Beatles expert, always eager to suggest songs. Here is a video from Chronicle TV about Historic Lower Mills where we meet weekly for ukulele sessions: https://youtu.be/NSgAUwHYOa4

We are getting together to play the songs he loved, including his arrangements available on his website at http://www.chiefnoda.com

If you'd like to participate and share memories and stories of Chief, please RSVP so we can get a headcount. We will run through at least the following songs on Thursday Dec 21st to prepare for this get-together:

City of New Orleans
Good Night
Hey Jude
I Will
Make You Feel My Love
Nowhere Man
The Water is Wide
