NEW ENGLAND UKULELE STRING ENSEMBLE, October Practice

The New England Ukulele String Ensemble (NEUSE) is getting ready for the 2025 Christmas and 2026 concert season. We have a great concert program planned. We are an instrumental ukulele ensemble. NEUSE is dedicated to promoting the ukulele as a more versatile instrument and providing free concerts for the public. 5-part music with melody, harmony, baritone, guitar for bass and a chord/strumming line. We are 15 strong. NEUSE is always looking for new players. Reading and playing standard music notation is helpful but not an absolute requirement. Our chord line is easy and just right for new and even beginning players. We practice once a month at the Flint Public Library in Middleton. Extra help is always available for new players. Genres include classical, western, blues, country, folk and rock. The ukulele is very versatile, playing music similar to an orchestra.
