The New England Ukulele Festival 2
Details
Dear Ukulele Friends,
Some of you may already know about the upcoming New England Ukulele Festival, but for anyone who doesn't, here's the scoop. We'd love to have you join us!
First, it's free! The whole event is a fundraiser for the Ukulele Kids Club - an awesome nonprofit that donates ukes to children's hospitals for music therapy - so donations of any amount are gratefully accepted, but not required.
Second, there's going to be soooo much music! We'll be featuring 7 ukulele groups from across New England,
plus our incredibly talented headliner, Ray Cygrymus, who'll be doing a multi-level workshop (suitable for beginners through advanced) and a solo performance - AND Kimo Hussey is flying over from Hawai'i to be our Master of Ceremonies! Uncle Kimo is ukulele OG, and will perform, talk story, and also be available to chat about your uke questions.
Third, there'll be a big vendor room with artisans, a luthier for your repair questions and needs, a ukulele puppeteer, a caricature artist, food for purchase, and a cash bar.
There are also a couple of fun, pre-festival things:
The online auction just went live a couple of days ago with celebrity-autographed ukuleles (signed by folks like actor Bill Murray and His Blood Brothers, bluegrass great Del McCoury and his band, the Dropkick Murphys, members of the Boston Red Sox, Grammy-winner Tom Paxton, Tom Rush, and more), lessons from amazing instructors (Craig Chee and Sarah Maisell, Peter Moss, Neal Chin, Christopher Davis-Shannon, etc.), instruments, and more! (Auction items are still being added every few days, too!). You can find it at:

And ... Flight Ukulele has partnered with the festival to create an adorable "traveling" uke - it's an all-weather uke (play it out in the rain, paddle your kayak with it, leave it in the car - it's all good) that's concert size and sounds really nice! It's designed to look like an old travel trunk, with travel stickers featuring songs about each of the New England States. These are a limited run and only available for pre-order. Once the festival is over, they're gone! I'll paste a photo below and if you want to check it out, go to https://theukc.org/neuf/. There are only 16 left as of now.

We hope our friends can come to enjoy a day filled with music.
Thank you,
