There has been no shortage of ukulele Meetups since we found ourselves homebound. It's great having Zoom to help keep us connected, but trying to run a Meetup in the usual way poses challenges due to the lag time between singing something and having it heard.

The online meetings are fine for socializing, but what used to be a group sing has been reduced to singing along with the leader in unison or constructing a fine harmony that no one else will get to hear. Still, if you like music, this is like music and beats the alternative of not playing together at all.

Picky, Picky is something different--simple two-part instrumental duets! Like with the regular Meetups, only 2 people can play together at once, but here, that's the point!

How it will work...

When the latest set of duets is available, it will be announced in the Comments.

We'll review the pieces together. Once we are comfortable with them, whoever is leading (the role can rotate) will play each part 3 or 4 times (or whatever the group prefers). Others will get to play the other part! And it will be lovely!

We'll be working from tab rather than standard music notation. No previous experience playing from tab is necessary. A relatively painless introduction to reading tab may be found at http://ukulelehunt.com/2008/01/03/ukulele-101-how-to-read-ukulele-tab-part-1/
