What we’re about
One of the most important and relatively disregarded components of life on earth - plants. They are found in our language, evolution, historical turning points, medicine, clothing, food, aesthetics, landscape, and every life sustaining breath. This meet-up group is not designed specifically for the botanist or individuals with biology specializations. Rather, the events are designed for those generally curious about the natural world and its workings. The approach is geared for a mixed presentation style reminiscent of [on a much less sophisticated level] David Attenborough, Carl Sagan, Jay Gould and others that offer a non-academic, but deeper understanding about the beauty, surprise, and wonder of our very familiar yet very amazing universe. Excursions will include botanical gardens, nature trails, and anywhere else the botanical world can be closely encountered.
