River (https://www.linkedin.com/in/riverhain/) manages the strategy and methodology through which Autodesk's virtual agent, AVA, solves customer inquiries. He focuses on identifying and assessing new opportunities for AVA and her underlying technology. He works 75% on the MASE (Machine Assisted Service Engagement) program and 25% on our ML/AI Pilot program in which Autodesk pilots new technology solutions before launching them as initiatives in the MASE.
The Machine Assisted Service Engagement (MASE) team is developing and implementing an intelligent agent to improve, automate, and scale customer service and support, playing a critical role in Autodesk's goal of providing a seamless blend of digital and human support across all help channels by 2020.
AVA launched on February 17, taking Autodesk beyond the chatbot. Her persona now has a consistent voice that represents Autodesk’s brand and desired agent characteristics. Due to AVA’s success, the plan is to build new capabilities for AVA and launch them in the Autodesk Forums, Autodesk Account, and the company’s eStore in the months ahead.
