NCAR Hike

This is the first of a series of hikes designed to prepare for a hike to the top of Green Mountain in August. You can attend one or many of the hikes, with or without attendance on the final hike up Green Mtn.

There is plenty of parking in the NCAR (National Center for Atmospheric Research) parking lot. We will meet at the start of the NCAR trail. We'll hike to the water tower, then continue on the North Mesa Trail. After about an hour of hiking, we'll take a break, then turn around for the hike back to the parking lot.

Please use sunscreen, bring a water bottle/snack(s), wear proper sun protection and sturdy, comfortable shoes for hiking. Consider bringing hiking poles if you think they might help with managing terrain that rolls up and down.
