DANCING AND BOULDER DANCE INFO:
Please wear smooth-soled and clean non-marking shoes to protect the beautiful oak dance floor and for ease of turning. Dress for comfort and to show your style -- some wear casual, some dress up and some wear retro. Come alone or with friends. Non dancers and dancers are invited. If you don’t want to dance, you can come and listen! Everyone is welcome!
Social dance has a lead and follow. New dancers are encouraged to ask others to dance in order to socialize, enjoy the dancing experience and improve their dancing skills.
Look for the Boulder Dance tent cards at the tables in the ballroom (near the entry into the ballroom) where you can rest or socialize with other meetup members. (Note: We will be hosting the Grey Wolves meetup at this dance also.) Many meetup members do not sit down for long and can be found in the lesson or dancing all night. Everyone is friendly, so please don’t be shy about introducing yourselves!
The 3rd Saturday Swing Dances at the Avalon are sponsored by Snowhawk Productions. Some months additional Saturdays are added or other days are included instead of the 3rd Saturday so check the website for updated info: dancelaughlove.com

The dance community is saddened by the December 2022 passing of Jim Borzym. Jim was the founder of American Vernacular Dance; a dance instructor; and organizer and sponsor of the monthly Avalon Saturday swing dances, Wednesday waltz dances, and Sunday tea dances. The dances are continuing and Jim’s legacy is living on with the support from our wonderful dance community!
