About the presentation

This presentation will include a technical deep dive into Data Streaming Technologies to include Apache Storm, Apache Samza, Apache Spark, LinkedIN Databus, AgilData, Hailstorm, RabbitMQ and Apache Kafka among others. The review of each technology will include how it works, when to use it, skills required to implement and support, benefits, technical debt and risks. Additionally, common implementation issues will be addressed to include when to use data streaming, when to use batch, delivery guarantees, and semantics. This will be taken from the perspective of use for both the modern data warehouse and for transactional systems.
