AWS Lambda and Kinesis at Scale

Details
Happy New Year! It's been a while since our last meetup and I'm excited to announce we have one I think you'll love. Sovrn is presenting on using Lambda and Kinesis at Scale. Come and hear how Sovrn is solving some really big and interesting problems with AWS technologies at scale!
Hope to see you there!
About the Event:
Sovrn recently released a high-volume API in a fully serverless topology, using golang on AWS Lambda and Kinesis. This enables massive scale at very manageable costs, and changed our deployment topology from hundreds of bare-metal hosts into a simple, cloud-native pipeline. Along the way, we learned some things intentionally, and some things painfully.
We will also share learnings about Spark/Scala processing on ephemeral EMR clusters. Spark on EMR is easy to start, but can be very nuanced to optimize and tune. We will be sharing useful Spark tips to maximize AWS resources, handle data problems, and leverage some lesser-known built-in Spark tools.
