It's 2026! Let's kick off the year by reconnecting, sharing what we've been working on, and jamming on some creative tech projects. I'm going with MIDI controlled glockenspiel.
What to expect:
Note: The Junkyard has a private event in the back so we'll meet upstairs.
- 6:30 - Arrive, grab a drink, say hi to folks, head upstairs
- 7:00-8:00 - Open mic show & tell (5-min demos, works in progress, failures, whatever you want to share)
- Bring projects, ideas, or just come to see what others are up to
- No project to share? Just come hang - these are your people.
Bonus question for the group:
Anyone interested in organizing a public-facing project, performance or workshop this year? Boulder Roots Fest (August) and other opportunities are on the horizon - let's chat about possibilities.
Join us to meet some other interesting, creative and local folks, share an idea, demo a project, make any relevant experiments in art and tech announcements, call for collaboration, etc. and even if you don't have something to share now, just come for the hang. Note that this meet overlaps with the Boulder Burning Man meetup (sometimes we overlap and merge).
The Junkyard Social club has coffees, teas, beer, wine and kombucha as well as food options.
