We're hosting Kevin Smith from Roots Music Fest to kick off their call for art — and we want you in on it from the start.

Roots is looking for creative tech and art projects of all kinds: interactive installations, sculptures, wall pieces, outdoor works, and even maker-faire style "petting zoos" where people can play with what you're tinkering on. Indoor, outdoor, weird, wonderful — they want it.

There will be grant opportunities and potential collaborations between artists, the festival, the City of Boulder, and local venues. They're also planning talks and panels featuring local artists and technologists.

Check out the artist application hub: https://www.rootsmusicproject.org/brmf-artist-hub

Come hear what's possible, ask questions, and start dreaming up what you might propose. Bring sketches, half-baked ideas, or just curiosity.

As always, feel free to bring a project or prototype to share. I know I will.

Wednesday April 8 @ Junkyard
6:30 hang and mingle, ~7:00 info session and Q&A.

Note: we still overlap with the Boulder Burning Man meetup — a 2-for-1 if you're into both scenes.
