The GHC extension `RankNTypes` (and the obsolete alias `Rank2Types`) can seem rather esoteric, but useful applications for them show up everywhere. Robert Peszek presents a number of practical examples of Rank-n types to demystify this feature and give you another tool to keep handy in your FP toolbox.
