Spiral on Spiral Ring

Class includes materials and instruction support for two rings.

Nomad has educated countless students in the creation of wire-wrap projects, but rarely rings. This is a different kind of challenge requiring both freeform and precision wirework.

Students will create two rings. First, the freeform: coax colorful plated copper wire into a swirling nest and anchor it to a simple finger band. Second, the spiral-on-spiral: This more regimented style builds on the lessons learned in the first ring, tightly coiling wire over wire and then shaping an elegant textured disk.
