** React-Native: A year in production by Avero by Erin Noe-Payne**
A little over a year ago we shipped our first react-native mobile app to the iOS and Android app stores. In the intervening time we’ve shipped several significant updates, and also spun up a second team who have built and shipped another react-native app. We will discuss some of our lessons learned: what went well, what went poorly, and ultimately our advice on how others should decide whether or not they want to use react-native in their own tech stack.
** Building an app for the Eclipse, My first steps in Vue.js by [Nicolas Grenié] (https://twitter.com/picsoung) **
In 2018, the event of a lifetime happened all across the US: a total solar eclipse visible from East to West. Millions of people gathered together to enjoy this event.
At that time, I was wondering what was happening around me, and where should I be going as I was not in the 100% coverage zone.
There was a google maps on the NASA website, but we could do better.
And this is how I ended creating http://🌚🌞.ws a simple app to find events around you to watch the eclipse. To make it more interesting I forced myself to build this app using Vue.
In this talk, I will walk you through the building phases of this app and my discoveries about Vue.js framework.
