Please read the entire description before signing up.

This is a moderately challenging hike with beautiful views of Eldorado Canyon, Tom Davis Gulch and South Boulder Creek among others. We will hike the loop clockwise and follow the Walker Ranch Loop trail and Ethel Harrold trail down to South Boulder Creek. From the creek a section of stone steps will bring us to the top of a 500-foot cliff after which the trail ascends gradually to the Crescent Meadows parking lot on Gross Dam Road. We will then hike down into Tom Davis Gulch where we will follow South Boulder Creek for about half a mile before ascending one last time back to the trailhead. To me this last stretch always feels like a haul and calls for multiple breathers but the entire hike is very scenic and rewarding. We will take multiple short and a longer lunch break along the way.

You can get more information about the hike on alltrails (https://www.alltrails.com/trail/us/colorado/walker-ranch-loop--4?u=i&sh=36wixp)

This hike will take us about 4.5 hours, so make sure you bring enough water, snacks and a lunch.

We will start at the Walker Ranch Loop trailhead near Walker Ranch.
From Boulder take Baseline Road and continue onto Flagstaff Road. After 7.2 miles turn left, then after 130 feet take a slight ride. You will reach the Walker Ranch Loop trailhead after 0.2 miles.

We will wait for late arrivals no more than 10 minutes, so please leave early enough to meet us on time.

I will post weather-related date changes or cancellations no later than 8:00 PM on the day before the hike, so please check for any updates.

By signing up for this hike you acknowledge that you participate at your own risk.
