Isabelle Lake from Brainard Lake Trailhead - 7.1 miles and 760 ft EG

Details
Let's hike to Isabelle Lake (at 10,910 feet elevation) via the Niwot Cutoff and Jean Lunning trails. This is a high-altitude hike with spectacular panoramic views and frequent moose sightings. Snow typically remains until early July, so please bring microspikes and/or poles just in case we need them.
The Brainard Lake recreation area is part of the Indian Peaks Wilderness, so group hikes are limited to 7 hikers without a large group permit. We will carpool from the Brainard Lake winter parking lot to the trailhead. We are leaving at 8:05 sharp, so please be on time. I will get a parking reservation for the Brainard Lake day use area when they go on sale 15 days prior.
Please bring sun protection, water and a snack/lunch.
By signing up for this hike you acknowledge that you participate at your own risk.
