Lost Lake via Hessie Trail / 5 miles and 850 feet EG

It's summer, and we all like lake hikes, so let's do this one again. This is a great out-and-back trail near the town of Eldora west of Nederland with beautiful views and a waterfall. Some parts of the trail are steep and have loose rocks and gravel, so wear sturdy hiking shoes. We will repeatedly stop to enjoy the views and take a break once we reach Lost Lake. We will then hike around the lake before heading back to the trailhead. If there is interest, we could have lunch together in Nederland afterwards.

Please bring enough water and snacks, and be prepared for sudden weather changes.

Parking at the trailhead is limited, so we will meet at 8:00 AM at the Park-n-Ride in Nederland and carpool to the trailhead. Please be on time; we will leave no later than 8:05 AM for the trailhead.
