RMNP: Ouzel Falls via Wild Basin Trail - 5.3 miles and 980 ft EG

Details
This is one of my favorite waterfall hikes in Rocky Mountain National Park. We will meet at the Wild Basin Trailhead at 8:30 AM, so we won't need a timed entry permit for the park. (Timed entry starts at 9:00 AM.) We will hike along the North Saint Vrain Creek and pass Copeland Falls and Calypso Cascades on our way to Ouzel Falls.
The Wild Basin area is part of Rocky Mountain National Park and requires an entrance fee of 30$ unless you have an America the Beautiful pass. Please allow extra time at the entrance and to get to the trailhead, so we can start on time. It's a 2.5 mile drive on a dirt road from the entrance to the trailhead.
If you would like to carpool, please use the comment section to find others who might be interested in sharing a ride. The entrance fee is per vehicle and covers four adults.
Please bring sun protection, water, and a snack for a break beneath the beautiful falls.
By signing up for this hike you acknowledge that you participate at your own risk and are solely responsible for your safety.
